No se si conocéis los tebeos de Esther pero quería confesar aquí mi admiración por ellos desde niña. Para mí fueron y son toda una inspiración. La ilustradora española, Purita Campos, trabajó en revistas inglesas en los años 70 donde se encargó de dar vida a los guiones de de Philip Douglas .
Si fuera Esther real, hoy sería toda una
"it girl".
I don´t know if you´ve ever heard of Esther comics but I wanted to confess here my admiration for them since childhood. The Spanish illustrator, Purita Campos worked in British magazines in the 70 where she gave life to the scripts of Philip Douglas.
If Esther were real she would be an" it girl".
El primer capítulo de Esther es de 1971 y durante casi 20 años Purita Campos dibujó sus historias . En 2007, ediciones glenat volvió a editar las aventuras de Esther y sus amigos Rita, Juanito, Carol y Doreen para sus fieles seguidores y para nuevas generaciones. Fijaros lo mona que es y el estilo que tiene. No en vano Purita Campos se había dedicado anteriormente a la ilustración en revistas de moda.
The first story was in 1971 and for 20 years Purita Campos wrote and illustratated this books. Look how cute she was and her cool style. Not surprisingly Purita Campos had have previously dedicated to the illustration in fashion magazines.

Otra referencia de mi infancia fue Esther Williams, todo empezaría en un principio por el nombre pero ahora es por muchas cosas más.
